The Markets Seem to Have Erased COVID, Haven’t They?

Indian Hotels has registered near-identical returns as Dr. Lal PathLabs since the pandemic began.

🛌🏻 When the pandemic hit, Indian Hotels lost nearly half its market value as travel went through its phases of stoppages, restrictions and truncated demand.

🩺 However, Dr. Lal PathLab rose at each wave of COVID, in tandem with the number of people getting tested.

It now appears that the pandemic dust is settling: Dr. Lal PathLab has lost of its value since lab testing reduced - more home kits, milder variations of the virus and lower fatality rates. At the same time, Indian Hotels has steadily risen, discounting pandemic worries as they fade.
